  4. Has drinking impacted your image?
  5. Do you ever feel regret after drinking?
  6. Has your drinking caused you financial problems?
  7. Do you compromise the quality of your friends and environment for drinking?
  8. Has your drinking caused to neglect your family?
  9. Has your drinking decreased your ambition?
  10. Do you experience alcohol cravings at a designated time each day?
  11. Do you want to drink in the morning?
  12. Has your drinking led to difficulty sleeping?
  13. Has drinking decreased your personal and professional efficiency?
  14. Is alcohol putting your business or career in jeopardy?
  15. Do you drink to escape a tense or unpleasant reality?
  16. Do you drink by yourself?
  17. Have you suffered complete or partial memory loss from drinking?
  18. Has your doctor ever treated you for your alcohol consumption?
  19. Has drinking affected your self-confidence?
  20. Have you been in a hospitalized or institutionalized because of your drinking?


  • If the answer to any one of these questions is “yes”, you are at risk for alcoholism.
  • If the answer to any two of the above questions is “yes”, chances are you’re an alcoholic
  • If you answered “yes” to three or more of these questions, you are definitely an alcoholic.
